YMCA Sustaining Campaign
Your Contribution Helps Make it Happen
Your contribution to the Annual Sustaining Campaign provides financial assistance to families and children in need in our community and subsidizes vital YMCA programs and services. Thanks to financial assistance, hundreds of children of working parents have received assistance for childcare. Families in need enjoy quality time together through memberships supported by financial assistance, and dozens of boys and girls play youth sports thanks to assistance that ensures every child can be part of the team. Every year, dedicated YMCA volunteers spend countless hours helping the YMCA raise funds for the Annual Sustaining Campaign so that no one is ever turned away from the YMCA because of an inability to pay.

What Your Dollars Can Do
• $25 provides a scholarship for one week of YMCA Afterschool care
• $150 sponsors a child in our childcare program
• $250 will fund 8 kids in our drop-in centers located in Palm Desert
• $400 will provides a month of childcare for a preschool child
• $500 will provide 15 kids Y membership for a year
• $1200 will send 3 kids to camp for a week
• $5000 will fund 10 teens in the Youth and Govt leadership program
Send Kids to Camp Campaign
Each year during summer, kids who have never gone to camp, visited the mountains, or played at the beach are able to spend a week at YMCA camp having the time of their lives. They participate in horseback riding, arts and crafts, mountain biking, swimming, hiking, climbing walls, archery, canoeing, singing, campfire songs, and more! Your donation provides scholarship assistance to children and families who cannot afford the full cost of camp.
Resident camps include Camp Oakes in Big Bear, Camp Fox
on Catalina Island, and Camp Surf on the San Diego beachfront.
Day camps include Cooking, Arts, Explorer’s, High Adventure,
a Teen Beach Trip, and more.
At camp, kids make friends as well as learn responsibility, cooperation, fitness, leadership, and respect.
Planned Gifts/Endowments
The YMCA encourages planned gifts as a primary means of building strong endowment resources. Your gift can help create a lasting legacy and will touch lives through YMCA programs for generations to come.
Honors/Memorials
Gifts to the YMCA in honor or in memory of loved ones provide a living remembrance for generations to come. Honorary gifts may be given to celebrate anniversaries, birthdays, graduations, holidays, and other special occasions. Memorial gifts may also be given as a way to remember someone special. |
